But a life without them? It would be very much like living in a small prison cell -- meaning it would be quite satisfactory if one had never known of anything different. Some may argue for instance that in Egypt, there was little evidence of Jewish people, but the reality is, if you are holding anything Egyptian in your hands then, it was probably made by a Jewish person. The Techniques for art were remarkably simple and yet timeless. Another point, even ancient Murano glass techniques are still the same today, virtually unchanged except for computer cooling. Ancient art had a purpose and technology and reason ! has caused art to adapt for today. Its always good to get a we! ll rounded education on art, you never now how that education will end up influencing your own ideologies and views.
