What do you think will be the next must have electronic gadget?

Moira Woodrow: Come on hover boards!

Vince Delarge: Netbooks so far seem to be the latest must have (mini laptops for getting on the internet).I think the next wave will be people accepting larger communication devices in order to get more functionality and an all in one device. I would prefer my cell phone to be a little bigger and be able to do more on it. If I could have an iPhone with more memory, a keyboard, full iPod functionality (including being able to play and hold lots of video), quickly access the internet and stream videos from YouTube, Netflix, etc.), have full PDA capability, read ebooks, edit word processing docs and spreadsheets, print via bluetooth, and play games both on and offline that are a bit more complex than those currently available I would pay a lot more and accept a larger device. For that to happen though it would have to be transferable to any cellular carrier because you would have to pay a lot more for the devices. You would also have! to be able to upgrade them a bit so they weren't obsolete so quickly. Here is what I think will happen eventually:We will have keyboards that are projected onto a surface from the smartphone - this is already possible with your computer but they are still pretty expensive and the technology isn't that great yet.Your device will project an image onto other surfaces to watch movies, work on the internet, play games, etc. Again - this is already used in some media players and can be bought for a reasonable price, but the technology still needs a little work so the the devices can be smaller while still producing better quality projections that will work in any light conditions. In order for any of this to happen, we will need a standard for all cell phones. In other countries you don't have the restrictions we do here. Right now competing companies purposely use different systems so that you have to buy a new phone in order to get their service and they make it more difficult t! o switch. Cell service is cheaper in these other countries, wo! rks better, and because the devices aren't proprietary the technology is way ahead of ours and the cell phone companies have to worry a lot more about good customer service, good coverage, etc. in order to keep customers....Show more

Melina Minneweather: For me the big gadget is the electronic cigarette. This will revolutionize peoples ability to quit smoking or to continue without the risks.

Pamela Meno: The portable pocket-top, about the size of a nintendo DS laptop.

Shad Bushweller: probably vibrators, not

Minh Lefrancois: In inter site transporter beam.

Dalila Yoon: cellphones or watches with feature to produce and store holograms so we can watch 3D pictures and videos like in Paycheck and Johnny Quest.
