Americans, do you support universal health care?

Shane Getler: if it has anything to do with rush other than reporting on his drug issues or viagra medication -- the media won't report on any of it.

Horace Escue: It is a mix bag certainly many don't support it. Polls generally say that most don't support it but when you take it issue by issue then most do support it. The fact is there is a lot of propaganda. Usually in polls a Public Option ranks the highest in reform but it is unlikely that will be the solution mostly because of Lobbying in Washington by insurance companies -- so the solution likely will be to force everyone to buy insurance and support the billion dollar salaries...Show more

Theresia Fashaw: RUSH: Here now the Reverend Sharpton in a press conference today responding to the three detectives who have been indicted in the Sean Bell shooting. Listen carefully. SHARPTON: As we listen to the announcement of the district attorney, it falls short of what we would want. Clearly in our judgment a! ll five officers should have been shot -- should have been charged. (gasps, laughter) Let me be clear. All five officers shot. All five officers shot. We do not endorse their being shot. RUSH: Then why didn't you say charged the next three times instead of all five officers being shot? The reason two of them weren't charged is, I think, they were auxiliary cops and they were unarmed. I think the auxiliary cops didn't have any weapons. Anyway, that's the Reverend Sharpton with the faux pas, the slip of the tongue. "In our judgment, all five officers should have been shot." The Reverend Sharpton is still hanging out, when he's not following this story, outside campaign headquarters of Barack Obama. (Playing of Al Sharpton/Obama spoof.) RUSH: The Reverend Sharpton is still clearly upset....Show more

Elissa Curlin: Anything, he is not president of Cuba and yes of Venezuela. Mr. Hugo Chavez is with a foot in the hole. It is possible that he is in the horizontal before ! Fidel.

Jammie Taddei: Absolutly! Most of us do support ! universal health care. There are a few neanderthals who think that health care is a comodity such as a TV or a nice home. But they are a dying breed... thanks to their view of health care.

Jinny Dronen: Nope. Didn't hear it in the liberal media at all. They never tell the truth about their own wackos..

Roselee Mczeal: I agree with you. Everyone should have access to healthcare without having to worry about going into financial ruin.

Stan Conley: try being an orator for a week we all make slips of the tongue

Kalyn Proietto:

Tommy Durrenberger: RUSH.....LOL....LMAO your a knucklehead. take your meds and go back to sleep. What next BARNEY the purple dinosaur said what ....oh my gawd.....

Claude Gloden: its really bad over here, the discussion regarding healthcare. you cant even talk about it to anyone, it seems that most people are misinformed and dont want it. if they actually read the bill (and i wont talk to anyone who has not) they ! would realize all of the incentives we can recieve.i draw the line on illegal immigrants getting free healthcare. and no this is not in the bill....Show more

Neville Dautremont: we choose something. the fee of wellness care has doubled interior the final 6 years. hundreds of thousands of human beings don't have coverage because of the fact they are in a place to't have adequate money it. no longer less than, we choose wellness care reform. i does no longer be adversarial to popular wellness care. that does no longer mean loose wellness care. If the tax strengthen is plenty much less in money than we pay on average for wellness care , then i'm for it. we are consistently claiming to be the terrific u . s . a . interior the international. If we quite are, shall we make this artwork without all the waiting strains human beings communicate approximately to scare others removed from popular wellness care....Show more

Janean Guz: "Americans, do you support universal h! ealth care?"No, this American does not."I'm not American and I'm used t! o it, so for me it seems like a basic human right."How can something be a basic human right if you have to force someone else to give it to you?"What's the general feeling towards Obama's proposed reforms in the USA at the moment?"The majority are against it. This is why Obama is having such a hard time getting this legislation passed and he shouldn't since Democrats hold a strong majority. Fact is that he can't even get all Democrats on board because they know that if they vote for it, they will be removed from office in the next election. "Where would you draw the line on who can access health care?"Health care or health insurance? Right now as it stands, anyone in America, even illegal immigrants, can walk into a hospital and receive health care. No one is denied....Show more

Corey Rohleder: 110%Everyone, regardless of income or citizenship status, deserves to treated like a human being and not a number.

Kandi Lough: I've never seen a guy take the Orson ! Welles "War of the Worlds" radio concept so far as this guy. Good work, Private!

Clementina Collelo: I didn't...but I really don't care to hear anything that Rush or Al Sharpton have to say and I sure don't want to hear them both at the same time...good grief..what a nightmare that would be to have to sit and listen to these two rejects going at it.

Tomeka Hameen: No.The fact is that this in not about having access to health care. It is about who pays for it.It is not unusual for 80% or more of the patients on my unit to be getting free, often government paid for, health care.I would also venture to say that by far the people who abuse the system the most, (and the folks who scream "I'm gonna sue you!) are the people who are already getting free health care from our government. On any given night about 75% of the patients seen in a ER are on medicare/medicaid. Mostly Medicaid-over 1/2. And most of these same people should wait till the next day and just go to t! he doctors office....Show more

Roni Kurz: The USA has universal a! ccess to emergency care, but that can bankrupt you. Preventative care though is a different matter. Also, most Americans have been told lies and half truths about the reforms Obama wants to bring in. A shame when the facts are simple. It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].FACT â€" insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do n! ot pay out for many claims when they should [e].FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know....Show more

Dexter Gold: A good job? If you consider lying to almost everyone that supported you d! oing a good job, then yes. He is going to bankrupt this country and doe! s not care. Harry reed and Nancy Pelosi are right there with him

Rosalyn Olivera: what would John Locke say or Che or Karl Marx, Gandhi, Martin Luther . Oh no people dont want health at all. I rather not be in debt then to have health no no no no my money is important then Human life values.

Raymundo Kyser: I really don't think anyone cares for Sharpton, except families that want a big payout.

Tyree Allenbrand: It's not news, unless you think "gotcha" journalism is news. Al Sharpton misspoke, even Rush calls it a slip of the tongue.

Chadwick Schmelz: Yes, I'd like to see a single payer system, such as Medicare for all. BUT, thanks to the repub party (and too many Dems) being owned by the insurance industry, Obama's current bill is probably the best we can realistically get. It's far from perfect, but like the old lady in Centralia said about the red hair, it's better than none.

Ivan Velazquez: I wonder if he, Sharpton, had spelled it out wou! ld they had made a big to do like they did when Quayle misspelled tomato?

Christy Tirabassi: Venezuela?

Pam Rampadarat: They leave this kind of cr*p for Fox News to report.Be sure that Hannity will drool over this. Seeing that Sharpton puts him in his place every time he has Sharpton on his show, this is his 'golden opportunity'!

Elden Bardach: We are not in favor of Obama care the main reason is he is trying to shove it down our throats, Do we need universal health care, is our own health care ailing yes but Obama is arrogant he is unwilling to listen to the American people. Instead he chooses to say He knows what is best for usWe have a proud history of going against the government and Obama and Pelosi want to force all Americans to accept what the government says is best for us. WE as AMERICANS.have always taken pride in being self sufficient for the most part and we loath government telling us we know best.Obama does not know best for me. I am 48 years! old have worked all my life who the hell is he to tell me that he know! s better than me. that I would be better off having the government "take care of me because I am to stupid to understand what he is trying to do" BULL CRAP. I have raised 3 wonderful kids I have supported 10 other kids that came through my house that needed help, all without any help from the state, we never had much money but 10 years later I still have 5 kids that call me dad that have no relation to me, THAT is care I do not need OBAMA to tell me how to take care of my family or those I chose to call my own. My wife and I fed 10 people at our table every night for 5 years our family was only 5. I resent the hell out of every thing Obama represents, he has never ever worried about a thing, I worked 2 jobs yet still did shopping and found time with all the kidsWhen he starts over his health plan and looks at what a REAL working man goes through maybe this Republican will go to him until then he is just a college educated elitist...Show more
