Donovan Stallons: Odds are that it is not the LEDs, but the batteries. If it was the bulb was gone, it's unlikelythey would go on at all. Batteries, whether NI-Mh, NI-CD or newer Lithium Ion batteries, generally last up to two years and then they start to go. Sounds like the batteries are wearing out. If you replace the batteries and clean the solar panel with ammonia and water and it still doesn't work, it means that something may be going in the fixture. LEDs last up to 100,000 hours, so "never goes out" is not exactly true but that is what the phrase within the lighting community means, and it is likely that other parts of the fixture will wear out long before they do. Unless LEDs are damaged, such as being dropped or hit by something.Warning: you should NEVER use a battery other than the type specified for the fixture. Jonathon Labonne: I use LED solar lights at home to light up a step that leads to my front porch. The LED lights last way longer than ordinary ones and the light is much brighter. I am also going to put LED solar bud lights in my maple tree and then fit out some solar LED string lights around the roof over my back deck.If you have your lights hooked up to your mains electricity and on a timer then no matter what lights you use, they should not go out during the time you want them on.If you have solar LED lights then as long as the solar panel is in full sunlight during the day then they sho! uld stay on all night.
