I didn't get s straight answer about drinking non-alcoholic beverages?

Von Houskeeper: While non alcoholic beers/wines do have a trace of alcohol, unless you are guzzling gallons of them each day, it wouldnt' amount to enough alcohol to have any effect. An occassional O'Doul's is entirely safe.(You might ask your doctor WHY he thinks it's a bad idea.)

Donnell Mollo: There is alcohol is those drinksStick with milk and water and juicesyour baby will be better off

Berry Gilmore: European women drink a few drinks during pregancy and they have a very low number of FAS. Infact my friends very french mother was really trying to get me to drink a glass of wine durning my very bad back labor I had (About 2 weeks before I had my baby). I didn't drink it - but I really don't think it would have hurt anything if I had of.O'douls is very low in alcohol. I wouldn't worry about it too much.I doubt you have done any damage....Show more

Andra Oger: yes when i was in school i did a research about FAS(fetal alcohol syndrom) there is no safe ! amount of alcohol you can consume, studies do not have a proven amount of alcohol that is safe to consume during pregnancy. if you have anymore q's just ask- s776161522@yahoo.com

Armando Somes: I believe even non-alcoholic drinks have some alcohol, that's why he said to avoid it. As long as you haven't been indulging you'll be fine. It is common knowledge (around the world) that a glass or two of alcohol in pregnancy is not going to hurt the baby. The women who over-indulge or have drinking problems are the ones that end up with children with FAS.

Jude Kennelly: I've never heard of it. I don't see why it would cause problems or FAS if there's no alcohol in ... maybe you should get a second opinion from another doctor?

Christy Tirabassi: My doctor said it was fine! She even said, I could have a regular beer every night if I wanted to! I love O'Doul's and have drank some since becoming pregnant....everything should be fine. Don't stress out about it!! C! ongrats!

Abby Herwood: If there's no alcohol, there shou! ldn't be a risk of FAS.

Rosella Figliola: The beverages contain less than .5% alcohol. Everyone else told me it was perfectly fine and that they knew so and so who drank them in place of a glass of wine with dinner etc. Now I'm just worried because of the fact that my doc said to avoid them. He said they don't know whats safe whether it's o'douls or mouthwash, I should avoid it.

Christy Tirabassi: There are traces of alcohol in both of those...Children cannot buy those beverages because of that- you have to be 18 to buy them. I don't think you could have consumed enough to cause FAS, but I would refrain for the rest of your pregnancy. Especially since your doctor doesn't agree with it.Best of Luck.

Ronny Nowzari: I answered before. I seriously doubt your baby is going to get FAS from O'douls which contains almost no alcohol - although it has some. The concern with FAS is heavy drinking through pregnancy, especially in the first trimester and second trim! ester when the most amount of brain connections are being formed. You need not stress about this one drink. Even "what to expect when you're expecting" - recommended BY MY OB said one drink during pregnancy to celebrate an occasion is fine. I seriously doubt that book would be so popular and an OB would recommend it if the advice they gave out lead babies to develop FAS....Show more
