I don't drink (alcohol), but . . .?

Bethany Blocker: Since you're just starting out, it would be best to be at home.Plus you can make your birthday the way you want.

Kate Baune: I'm talking about traditionally, before Europeans came to America, did they ferment foods or make any sort of alcoholic drink?

Joaquin Dronko: Turning 21 makes it legal for you to drink, not required. But you should stay at home by your self or with some one you really trust to not let you do anything stupid. At least for the first time.

Ron Keliipio: Yes you can order drinks without alcohol. Many restaurants have non-alcohol drinks on the drink menu.Non alcohol Margarita's and others

Shad Bushweller: Yes. Fermented corn products mostly

Hope Lundmark:

Justin Casten: marry me

Francisco Schonhardt: Sure order it virgin, alot of those fruity drinks are a rip off with the booze anyhow

Elli Esaw: If so, what specifically did they ferment? What type of food or drink?

Damion Oleksa! : Get your closets friends, or really anyone you want to share the occasion with, and celebrate it in a memorable, special way. Or get ****-faced. Either one.

Kellie Waycott: Yes.For example, natives of Mexico made pulque, which is fermented agave juice (the Spanish realized they could distill pulque, which is how tequila and mescal are made).

Burt Stoecklin: 5 hour energy drink

Randolph Lozoya: Have a pre-drink at home and then go to the bar!

Georgia Dees: One thing you can do is ask the waiter if they can make the drink "Virgin" which means without alcohol. Most of the drink s they can and will substitute something else in place of the alcohol. If you have never had an alcoholic drink it won't taste any different to you. But yes, they are different.

Lorine Helwick: They sell Irish cream flavored creamer in the grocery store, it´s called International Creams, I believe. I first noticed it in convenience stores, in colored containers, just! like half and half. I love, love, LOVE the Irish Cream, and! often have that, when I´m driving home, late. Obviously, not wanting to get drunk. They do have a fairly high sugar content, though, so don´t go overboard and add sugar without tasting first. As for those lovely looking cocktails...Daiquiris, Margaritas, and house concoctions, those can almost always be ordered as a "virgin" cocktail, but they still cost about $6 - 8 or so a glass. They usually taste the same (as such cocktails hardly ever TASTE like liquor) and are very enjoyable. We sometimes do that when my 8 year old son wants to feel grown up and we´re ordering cocktails. Sometimes a milkshake will do the trick, too. Bon Appetit!...Show more

Jerald Florence: Stay home and have three drinks spread out over at least two hours.Spending your birthday flat on your back as the room spins and you want to barf will not be fun. Being sick the next day will not be fun. Drink, but don't get wasted.Or get wasted so that you learn your lesson early....Show more

Tracy Huesso: Beer. i like it the final for a number of reasons which variety from style to manufacturing to heritage. it is likewise the final and well-liked alcoholic beverage chosen by making use of human beings the international over for social activities. I do like wine while the situation promises itself yet no longer all that worry-unfastened to me. no longer partial to the flavors and intensity of the distilled alcohols. Poj?me na pivo. Na zdravi -Cheers Veselé svátky - satisfied trip journeys Uspesny novy rok -valuable new 3 hundred and sixty 5 days D?kuji...Show more

Forest Duttinger: You can get a drink without alcohol in it. Some can and some can't (Long Island Iced Tea is all alcohol so I'm not sure how they would make something like that without alcohol). They don't taste exactly the same because there isn't the "bite" you get from the alcohol, but they are typically pretty similar.

Toby Caswell:

Gaylord Barragan: Bars are boring stay! home and get f up! lol stay home to much bs happens at bars

Teod! oro Lamond: Wine in alcoholic. You could order a Shirley Temple but you cannot order any other of these drinks you seem to like to see without alcohol because they wouldn't taste the same and that includes Irish Coffee. You say you don't drink alcohol but that nice glass of wine with dinner is alcohol. You could perhaps try a Virgin Mary - tomato juice with spices or Virgin Caesar - Clamato juice with spices. Although bartenders are very careful and rarely make mistakes, if they happen to be extremely busy you may just find your virgins have vodka in them - alcohol. The price is the same anyway....Show more

Long Woltjer: "In Mexico, some believe Native Americans used a corn precursor to make a brewed drink; they note: “the ancestral grass of modern maize, teosinte, was well suited for making beer â€" but was much less so for making corn flour.” In addition, it is well established that Mexican Native Americans prepared “over forty different alcoholic beverages! [from] . . . a variety of plant substances, such as honey, palm sap, wild plum, and pineapple.“In the Southwestern U.S., the Papago, Piman, Apache and Maricopa all used the saguaro cactus to produce a wine, sometimes called haren a pitahaya. Similarly, the Apache fermented corn to make tiswin (also called tulpi and tulapai) and the yucca plant to make a different alcoholic beverage. The Coahuiltecan in Texas combined mountain laurel with the Agave plant to create an alcoholic drink, and the Pueblos and Zunis were believed to have made fermented beverages from aloe, maguey, corn, prickly pear, pitahaya and even grapes. To the east, the Creek of Georgia and Cherokee of the Carolinas used berries and other fruits to make alcoholic beverages, and in the Northeast, “there is some evidence that the Huron made a mild beer made from corn.” In addition, despite the fact that they had little to no agriculture, both the Aleuts and Yuit of Alaska were believed to have made alcohol! ic drinks from fermented berries. It should be noted, however, that most! of these beverages were relatively weak, presumably no stronger than wine (which typically runs from 8-14% ABV). Whiskey, on the other hand, is usually 60% ABV, and grain alcohol (e.g., moonshine) is often 95% ABV. As a result, when Europeans introduced these stronger drinks, Native Americans were in for a shock."...Show more

Jene Kostyla: what?

Lia Argall: Of course. Many did. Fermentation doesn't automatically mean alcoholic either. Vinegars are fermented.

Simona Bulwinkle: Salvia, but look it up on You Tube. It will make you go nuts for about five minutes, then you're fine. I have never tried it, but I enjoy watching the hillarious videos of the idiots who do!

Jackelyn Archut: Yes. Many tribes in my area made Tiswin, which is a drink made of fermented saguaro fruit.

Willetta Munhall: most drinks can be made without alcohol, like virgin mary, virgin pina colada, etc. however, a virgin irish creme coffee without the irish creme liquor in it,! will be just plain old coffee with whip cream. there are great non-alcoholic flavors to add to coffee, sold in grocery stores.

Ewa Homrich: its not the same without the alcohol and one drink wont make you drunk

Sharolyn Claybourn: Well, you can buy irish cream coffee flavoured syrup which is non alcoholic, I know many coffee houses have got flavoured syrups but I don't know if they'd have that one....

Valentine Michaud: . Baileys will not get you drunk with one coffee. They are delicious. Pretty much any of the frozen drinks can be made without alcohol, simply as for a virgin pina colada, virgin strawberry daquiri. If you would like to try a baileys and coffee at home In the dairy section Baileys Creme flavored coffee creamer. Tastes very close to a alcoholic Baileys and coffee

Somer Distilo: Or drugs that only impair your judgment for a couple of hours and then you seem fine?

Aldo Decurtis: The Jatibonicu Tainos make a wine out of sugar cane.

Veta Slicker: It's your 21st birthday, go out and have a good time! . Drink as much as you want.
